Often life offers so many choices, stresses, and conflicts that it seems impossible to be in the moment and to act on all the needed issues at once. This feeling of being overwhelmed can cause the body and the mind to become upset, agitated, and frustrated; and the body will usually respond with internal biological chemicals that are re-active.
In addition to life's conflicts, the foods we eat are often processed with too much sugar and chemical additives,
so that many of our problems stem from both an emotional and a physical source. Sugar, caffeine, MSG, and other substances make it difficult for the liver, kidneys, and adrenals to function well. Then, add to this, an emotional overwhelm, and these organs become "maxed-out."
So how does the body react to all this physical and emotional stress? Well it starts sending out those re-active chemicals and hormones, and then the body thinks that a real danger is near and that it must either run, fight or freeze. This is a normal part of our essential nature. Our bodies are designed to protect and preserve themselves. So if we are always in a state of "stress," then we will begin to produce a stream of stress hormones. These new "chemical" stresses can cause multiple problems, such as:
Anxiety
Fatigue
Exhaustion
Illnesses
And pre-cursors to major illnesses, such as:
Cold's & flu's
Hives & rashes
Constipation or diarrhea
Depression
